An injured primordial beast being dragged through a decaying city of broken glass, concrete and re-bar. Defeated, limbs heavy, too weak to resist. There is movement in the shadows, but salvation is not forthcoming. In the distance there is a glimmer of solace, barely visible through the thick clouds of static. Its antagonist is resolute and unflinching; a giant yellow swan.

A new album by Yellow Swans, reportedly their last but it is a wonderful finale. The texture of the album is unapologetically dense, but filled with emotion.
